... and I know how difficult it is to run a small business (especially now, with everything changing so quickly all the time).
The late nights, weekends, putting in the grunt work without knowing if it’s going to pay off, or when. Learning to be comfortable in front of the camera and not hide behind my business. Being in a precarious financial position, trying to find balance between doing what pays the bills and what I truly love. For years, I too was burning the candle at both ends, working endless hours in my photography business to make an income that not many people would be proud of.
Finally, burnt out and tired of not earning an income that reflected my hours and experience - I decided it was time for a change.
As a brand photographer I was always helping my clients elevate their brand, but over the next few years I finally started investing in my own brand. I got clear on what I wanted to do, who I wanted to serve. I started showing up more, working on my positioning, being more visible, and in 12 months turned my business into one that was both profitable AND allowed me the lifestyle I craved.
