One of the greatest compliments I receive is when clients are so in love with their brand photos they come back for more. (Repeat business is the clearest message that you’re doing something right – right?).
Speaking of which, I recently had the joy of working with Inna from rVise Digital Marketing Agency for her second shoot with me in 6 months, and we had another great day creating new content at a stunning styled location in Frankston (my own hood!), capturing images that reflect her brand values – excitement, connection, collaboration, and curiosity.
While prepping for this shoot, Inna shared one of her main motivations for rebooking: having on-brand photos had helped her show up on social media for the past few months confidently and consistently, and she wanted to keep that momentum going!
One of the ways Inna had been using her brand photos was as cover images on her Insta Reels, which she uses to share valuable tips on digital marketing. You only need to peek at her feed to see just how effective this can be to create consistency, not to mention a great first impression for newcomers to her online community:
Inna’s Reels are also a great example of how still shots and video can be used together to create unique and engaging content for social media – without a whole lot of fancy equipment or techy skills. All you need is a clear brand identity, an idea, and a pinch of confidence to give it a go!
And, if you don’t have the time or budget for a branding photoshoot right now, don’t let that hold you back – with just a few tweaks you can get great quality photos on your smartphone to get you started. Want to know how? Come and join Bec Stenner from Creative Seed Co and I next week at our Get Confident on Camera workshop, where we’ll give you all the tools you’ll need to not only create on-brand imagery using your smartphone, but we’ll also be sharing how to create engaging video content for social media.
Don’t let your lack of confidence stop you from showing up online. You can do whatever you put your mind to, you just have to take that first step. As said by one of the world’s most inspirational women:
“Through my education, I didn’t just develop skills, I didn’t just develop the ability to learn but I developed confidence.”
Michelle Obama
