This week in my new membership group we’ve been talking about all things personal styling and colour!  Nicole Vine ran a fantastic Masterclass on how our clothing (our visual voice) sends a message to others, which is why we need to be intentional about what it’s saying – not only for how others view us (because let’s face it, people judge us by how we look whether we like it or not), but also for how our clothing makes US feel (so important now when we are spending a lot of time at home and not ‘dressing’ for work).

In addition one of our very own Shine members Claire Gorman ran an online session about colour – how to use it to complement your complexion, and how it can be used to send a message or create an impact.

With colour and style in mind, I wanted to share with you a website created by Flourish Online for one of my clients. This site shows amazing use of colour and how it can be used to create an exceptional impression and website experience.  In addition, her site perfectly showcases three things your website should be doing for you:

1 – Giving people an opportunity to connect with you immediately
2 – Letting people know exactly what it is you do
3 – Offering a memorable experience

NOW is a perfect time to be doing an ‘audit’ on your own website and visual assets.  Once you’ve watched the video, I’d love you to visit your own website and see if you’ve nailed the three things above.  If not, what can you do right now to change this?

  • Do your images or your brand need a refresh?
  • If you can’t have a shoot right now, can you use your current images to improve your site’s user experience?
  • Can you switch up your photos, or reposition the content on your website, to better connect with people?
