It’s hard to believe that Christmas is already just a few months away.  Thanks to lockdowns in Melbourne, this year has in many ways dragged on and on and on, and yet Christmas has still somehow managed to creep up and surprise us yet again – go figure!

I know that it can be an insane time of year, but I love everything about Christmas.  I love shopping for gifts, putting up the tree, playing cheesy Christmas carols, building a gingerbread house, and most of all I love getting to spend time with family and friends over the break. 

If you, like me, are a lover of Christmas, then I thought these images might help stoke your Christmas spirit ahead of December 25th and get you excited for this year’s Yule season.  (By the way, if you think Christmas comes too early every year, spare a thought for businesses that incorporate Christmas marketing into their calendar – for them, it really does come in July!)

I’m often asked if I photograph products and, in short, the answer is yes! I don’t market myself as a product photographer, so these shoots often come about with clients that have already approached me about personal branding photography, which is exactly what happened in this instance.

Founded by Laura Harris, Go Above and Beyond is a bespoke gifting company that specialises in stunning, stylish gift hampers. Most of their clients are corporates, however they also work with many small businesses across Victoria (and I believe it won’t be too long before they go interstate – stay tuned!). Go Above and Beyond was born out of Laura’s extensive career experience and her philosophy that the smallest details can make the biggest impression.  She knew that gifting was the perfect way to create a memorable experience for her customers and, uninspired by what was already on the market, decided to launch her own brand.

Laura first came to me to discuss creating images for her personal brand in mid-2020, and has since signed up to my Ultimate Brand Package which includes photography and video content creation across 12 months, plus brand strategy.  We still have quite a few months and a couple of shoots to go, but elevating Go Above and Beyond’s visual brand has already played a huge part in the growth of the business:
